My First Skiing Trip

Read that right, I went skiing today with hubby. :) Pictures and video clips to follow.

Drive to Big Bear Lake is almost two hours so we had to leave early. We went to Green Valley (gee, I already forgot the name of the place, talk about memory gap! :-O) which is a so-so ski resort...it's the first in the area, we thought it's the Bear Mountain. It's perfect for beginners though...and almost 80% of the people there are beginners, hehe.

Anyway, Steve and I joined a beginner's lesson class. Steve's being nice and sweet, he endured all the lessons and super slow trials even if he's good with it already. I feel bad that he has to stay with me when he could very well take the slopes already. He said he had fun and doesn't mind at all. :-)

Ok, total falls for the day, five! Not bad eh? Comfortable with it already on my 4th and final round. I didn't fall at all! Whheeee! But now, my upper body is aching! Thank God I've already packed our luggages last night. Would feel like he** if I do it now.

Skiing is tougher than it looks. Ski boots and the ski itself weigh a ton! I felt like I was walking on clouds when I took it off and wore my own shoes. Super worth a try but really have to be careful.

We're already on our last night, can't wait to go home (I can't wait to go home, I usually just want to stay in the US or anywhere as long as it's a vacation), I miss my family...it's my first trip without them. Had a nice time here though, Steve's family is super generous and nice.

Hmm...also something to look forward to is...I don't have to go to work for a year!! ONE WHOLE YEAR!!! I'm officially on a study leave! So I better make it work...got some plans while on break...hope they all work.

Ah, one more thing to look forward to...a trip to China with my family! This time we'll be touring Beijing as well! Last time I was there was when I was 7 years old! (lots of was in that sentence!) I hope Steve can join us.

Ok, time to go now, super sleepy and tired. Can't wait for my body to hit the bed.
