The Dinner Date plus an Exhibition of Excess

We've decided to go to L'Opera for dinner last Wednesday, it was a good choice. We enjoyed our food despite getting a crappy table. Place was packed...on a week night!

I ordered their Prime Rib with Foie Gras, super yummy. Am not sure what they really call this dish, hehe :) It's just super yummy! Steve ordered their Baked Salmon (again, this is not what they really call the dish) which is also good but mine is way better! :-) And to end a wonderful meal, I ordered their Tiramisu, would have finished it if Steve wasn't looking at me! :-( He got a Sans Rival which is not good, Chocolate Kiss' is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay much better!

I was able to buy gifts for Steve before we met up too! Got him a shirt from Zara and cuff links from Dunhill and he liked both! He felt real bad as he was opening them because he wasn't able to buy me a gift, hahaha. The sad look on his face made me want to tell him, it's ok, you don't have to get me anything. BUT the materialistic biatch in me stopped me from saying that, bwahahahha.

And for the Exhibition of Excess part, OMG, my jaw dropped when I saw the photos of Purplegirl's shopaholic mom's collection!! For a second (well ok, probably a minute) there, I wish her mom is my mom instead!! Hahahaha really really bad, but hey, you gotta see the photos to know what I mean!! And here are some of the photos...

WOW right?? And they have other stuffs as well! Her post has become so controversial and she received quite a number of "hate" comments too, but she's not accepting comments anymore. Some people are also questioning the authenticity of the items, oh well.

I would love to have even just one dozen of their collection! hahaha just kidding, either one of the Kellys or Birkins is fine!

Off topic...have you ever encountered a super super stupid helper? I know I'm bad, but I'm just super pissed right now!

Two nights ago, my brother asked the maid to give me a CD. Ok, fine. Shouldn't be a problem right? I was confident that I will get it the following night, so I asked the maid for the CD. She said she placed it in my room, blah blah. I asked her to get it. After few minutes watching her looking for it (she looks totally clueless) I asked her if she knows what she's looking for, she said yes...then I asked her, did you touch those earlier? She said no. Heller...how can the CD possibly be there when she didn't even touched the area where she's looking at.

She said she placed it on a sofa but can't remember which! AGH!! Do we like have hundreds of sofas in the house that she can't remember which sofa??!?!?! In short, the CD is a goner.

And another classic story of our maid before. This happened when I was still in college.

My friend (Jayvee) called and was looking for me...here's their conversation...

JV: pwede pong makausap si Shar? (Can I please speak with Shar?)
Maid: ay wala po sya sir, sino po sila? (She's not home sir, who's this?)
JV: paki sabi nalang tumawag si JV (Please tell her JV called)
Maid: Anong pong pangalan nyo sir? (What's your name sir?)
JV: JV
Maid: Ano po? (What sir?)

That went on several times and maid still can't understand his name...

JV: JV, Juliet Victory, JV
Maid: ok po sir, thank you po (Ok sir, thank you)

So when I got home, she told me that a friend called. So I asked her who, she said...JULIET VICTORY! Of course at that time, I have no idea who Juliet Victory was!!

Next day in class, JV told me he called me up. I was laughing so hard while he was telling me what happened. She can't understand two letters but she was able to understand AND remember Juliet Victory!! LOL This is and will always be a classic!!

Ok, have to shower now and get ready for bed. Got a class tomorrow morning! I thought it's gonna be ok since my class is in Ortigas (which is only appox 15 minutes from our house), I forgot that the problem isn't the distance but my sleepyheaded-ness. So far, I've never been on time! :-

Night!
